Faith’s day starts at 6 AM. She begins with a quiet moment on her Bible app, revisiting chapters with fresh curiosity. “It’s not just about reading; it’s about connecting,” she says. Some mornings, she swaps scripture for a YouTube workout, squeezing in exercise before Lagos stirs. By 7:30 AM, she’s at her desk, tea and snacks in hand, scanning emails while most of the city still snoozes.

By 9 AM, she’s in the product and engineering standup, listening for design fixes and aligning with teams. Her tasks are split between new and existing projects:

She starts by defining business goals, mapping user journeys, and brainstorming features that add real value. While waiting for the Business Requirement Document (BRD), she dives into research, analysing trends, user behaviours, and compliance needs. Once the BRD is approved, she crafts user flows, leans on Zest’s design systems for consistency, and prototypes interactions. Every click, scroll, and button is tested rigorously.

Updates and new features mean tweaking flows, collaborating with engineers, and QA testing to ensure pixel-perfect execution.

“Design isn’t done until it’s used,” she notes. Faith stays embedded in development, offering real-time feedback during daily standups and smoothing roadblocks.

Saturdays are for sunrise runs along Bar Beach to Bonny Camp, a ritual she credits for sparking creativity. Tech events, family visits, and church fill her weekends, but she always carves out time for content creation. On TikTok, Instagram, and Threads, she breaks down design principles for budding creatives. “Sharing knowledge? That’s how we grow together,” she says.

For Faith, good design isn’t just aesthetics; it’s about solving problems quietly, so users never have to. And when she’s not refining Zest’s platforms, you’ll find her laughing with family, dissecting a Bible verse, or filming a tutorial, always with the same meticulous care she brings to her work.
